Frequently Asked Questions
I have created a FAQs page with information to help you learn what to expect. Simply click on the question to reveal the answer. If you still have a question that you can’t find the answer to, please Contact Me or call (405) 902-3229.
What is your turnaround time?
Give me at least a one week notice prior to a shoot; however, I’m often not afforded that much time and am happy to help you more quickly if you need it. I can deliver edited still photos within 48 hours following the time of the shoot. Fully edited videos may take longer.
How will I get my files?
For most projects, I will deliver edited digital photos to you via DropBox within 48 hours following the completion of the shoot. If your project requires additional post-processing work including mapping, video editing, or image stitching, delivery time can take several days. You will receive an email that includes a link to your online photo gallery where you can download all of these files to a local device.
Do I need to be on site for the shoot?
It is typically not necessary for you to be on-site for the shoot; however, you are welcome to join me if you feel it will be beneficial. I am a trained professional and can capture high-quality imagery in just about any setting.
I will share my project intake form with you prior to scheduling the project. This form allows you to describe your preferences, goals, and objectives in full detail. Most of my clients choose to communicate online or over the phone.
What kind of weather is best for the shoot?
This depends on what you are trying to accomplish and your personal preferences. For marketing photos, many professionals prefer partly cloudy weather because of the abundant sunlight along with just enough clouds in the sky to display texture in the photos.
How close to an airport can you fly a drone?
It depends. There are some locations and areas that are either off-limits or have additional height restrictions, I can fly near, or even at, most airports if I can obtain the necessary legal permission.
If you are unsure of the viability of a particular location, email me or give me a call. I’m happy to take a look!
What file format do you use?
I am committed to delivering the highest quality imagery possible so I shoot photos in RAW (DNG) format and film in either MP4 or MOV format. The RAW (DNG) images are converted to JPG when edited.
What photo resolution can I expect?
I deliver only high-resolution imagery to my clients. DJI Mavic Pro 2 camera produces 5472×3648 size still images.
What is your hourly rate?
I’ve found that most of my clients are more interested in me getting the job done than they are about how much time it takes me to complete. So I do not charge an hourly rate. I eliminate any uncertainty and unnecessary stress by billing only the amount you are originally quoted.
Do you charge for travel?
The quote I provide will be simple and straightforward and there won’t be any hidden or unexpected expenses. All costs will be included in the quote.
Do you work outside Oklahoma?
Yes. I’ll go wherever needed. I’ll provide you a quote based on project scope and location.
